Jeep project
-
I recently bought a jeep that had some minor issues with it. I have been doing some repairs on it to get everything as perfect as I can.
So far I have:
- Replaced the NSS ($13)
- Wired in a push button start ($15)
- Replaced Radiator ($100)
- Replaced O2 Sensors ($75 for both) - My fuel economy went from 11.2MPG to 19.2MPG
- Replaced Heater Blend Doors ($65) PIA, but its done
- Replaced Lift Gate Struts ($20) - What should have been an easy job turned out to be a real bear. I had two bolts that broke that I had to drill out
Need to do and have the parts in hand:
- Replace A/C Recirculation Door ($35)
- Replace Passenger Window Regulator ($30)
- Replace Spark Plugs ($18)
- Replace Passenger Seat Motor (free since I had two front seats and motors given to me)
Things that need to be done:
- Fix A/C - $150 worst case scenario assumming I have a bad compressor, bad accumulator, and leaky A/C lines. I already have all the A/C tools since I have done A/C jobs in the past.
- Replace Door Actuators - If I use OEM Replacement parts I am looking at right around $250 for door locks. If I use universals and get a little creative I am looking at $30

I've noticed that jeep owners sort of subtly wave at when passing each other on the road, have you experienced this?

Yes, but generally its only wranglers and modified jeep cherokees and grand cherokees that do the wave.

I know it is common to do that while riding a motorcycle, never seen it from any other vehicle.
