I love scones! Chocolate chip scones could be the death of me.
I can't do chocolate chips baked into bread. Just don't like them. Like both separate, just not together.
Dominica did strawberry ones today. SO GOOD.

@lance Chocolate chip cookies are like magic in the Kitchen Aid. They come together so quickly and with no effort, and the mixer makes it so easy to cream the butter and sugar the proper amount for perfectly textured cookies, which is so important as per Alton Brown.

Maybe the cookies might be a good place to start, as this is my first real mixer and I'm some what new to baking.

Just bought a new KitchenAid mixer and I'm looking for suggestions on what should be my first endeavor.
get the meat grinder and make sausage!
-
@lance No matter what recipe you use, make sure you cream the butter and sugars until it's lighter in color and consistency similar to buttercream frosting. I always ha flat, crunchy cookies until I learned this.

If I could get that, it would be great. We are starting to watch we eat and drink after watching the movie food matters.
