I don't know about you but I see a lot of posts from people on Facebook asking for people to resend their numbers to them because they:
- lost their phone
- wiped their phone
- new phone with new service number
- whatever
I find it quite frustrating.
How hard is it to add the numbers to your gmail/outlook/yahoo contacts?

The kids decided to descend on us in bed tonight. It's a snuggle night here.

EXACTLY! I put every contact as under my Google account. New phone? New carrier? No biggie. Connect my Gmail account, which if it's an Android phone is required, and I'm done.

Same with iOS. It all just comes right over naturally. It takes some effort to lose all of your contacts these days.

More like it takes not having foresight. Many phones will default to saving new contacts to the phone. Change it once to your account and it defaults to that after. Most people just don't know to change it.

And then there are plenty of people who seem to repeatedly get their accounts hacked and have to create new accounts for Gmail, etc. And then others just never remember what their email is so they just create new account after new account.
