Webroot Android App blocking random websites
-
Recently, my Webroot app has been blocking websites that are obviously safe. I have asked the app to save these sites as approved. The sites will work and then all the sudden they will get blocked again. Sometimes it even causes my phone to crash when they are blocked.
I have tried uninstall and reinstalling the Webroot app. When the app is uninstalled the issue is gone. When I reinstall, it will intermittently block the sites.
The sites that are being blocked are websites like www.13fishing.com and fish.shimano.com. It seems to happen with fishing sites more than anything else. Which is very weird

We were having some issues with the reputation server being wonky last week, but I thought those were cleared up. Let me check on the status. Also my guess is that fishing is being confused with phishing

That makes sense.

So I had them look in the database, and 13fishing.com is marked as suspicious due to having an infection in the past year. fish.shimano.com is showing as fine though, so your app shouldn't be blocking that. Is this still happening? If so, can I have support contact you to troubleshoot?

I was able to get to both sites this morning. I haven't had any sites blocked since I posted this yesterday

Ok cool - it might have been the system going haywire last week. Let me know if the problem comes back and I can get someone on it.
