What does people should know, while they plan to make a website?

There are something, which is necessary while you hire developers for website, such as Developer's experience, cost of development, and others.

A website? Not an application, just a web page? You don't hire developers at all for websites, just designers. And basically you just need your IT team to be aware of hosting needs, make sure that the site is designed in a way that can be hosted (static HTML, WordPress, etc.) Other than that, the design is an artistic thing, not a technical one.
