File this under "try to do this with Windows or macOS", the Apple Mac PowerBook 100 from 1991 which runs on the 16MHz Motorola 68000 (aka the M68K) processor and can be boosted to up to 8MB of RAM is still receiving Linux kernel updates today, more than a quarter of a century later! Linux 4.17 which is about to release will add PDMA support for the PowerBook 190, for example, along with other code cleanup issues.

Another way to think about this, is that Linux has been running on Mac PowerBooks and being supports not just longer than the original MacOS, but far, far longer making Linux the dominant OS for the hardware with the majority of the hardware's lifespan having been Linux-only!
