      @wrcombs said in Wifi extenders:

      @harry-lui Her router is a ARRIS SURFboard SBG6580-RB DOCSIS 3.0 , looking for cheap options..

      That's not the router, at least I hope that's not the router. That's the cable modem

          I gave William an ER-X and an unifi AP a while ago. Not sure if this is what he is using or not?

            Lots of devices on wifi slow it down, too.

              Also you could try changing the channel. On android they make wireless apps where you can analyze the wireless channels and then pick one that is by itself. That has some good results for people and its free/quick. Might be worth a shot. Something like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzer&hl=en

                  I know this was already said, but the Ubiquiti AP by itself might fix it. It has made a considerable difference in various places I have installed it.

                      @aaronstuder Yeah, this will work if you cannot run cables through the walls.

                        I visited someone's home tonight that had two Unifi APs, one at either side of the house. Though one half the house had horrible connections. Turns out the second AP had no power. Reset connections, tada! AP back online and wifi is awesome!
