Ubuntu 17.10 Gets a Name

  • After Ubuntu 17.04 which has the Z name in the series, people have been wondering what the next naming convention was going to be and it looks like Canonical is heading back to the As again. Ubuntu 17.10, releasing in October of this year, will be named Artful Aardvark according to OMGUbuntu Magazine.

17.10 will be the first version of Ubuntu shipping without the Unity interface as its default. Ubuntu will be making the move to Gnome 3 as its default, following the Fedora model.
