Go to Chinatown in NYC and you'll see cops walking leisurely by giant DVD pirate shops that are openly and publicly pirating and selling movies. The cops literally look the other way. It's a thriving business in the US, just like you hear about the streets of any third world country. Zero efforts to stop piracy. It's so bad they don't even have to pretend it's not pirated or not doing it in plain site. Biggest city in the country, tables selling pirated goods right on the road side.
