Toner scam nipped by end user!
-
One of the CSRs in our call center just had the perfect interaction with a toner scammer. It was a classic, they called saying "We spoke with Chad about your toner order but we need to confirm the model" to which he replied "He's not here right now, if you leave me your name and number I'll have him call you back" they persisted saying "Well I just need to know the printer..." and he cut them off "If you leave me your name..." when they tried again he was nice a third time same message and then he hung up and immediately told me which prompted a company wide email detailing the scams nature with a link to page about this on snopes.com.
I know they are rare, but when you find a good one you gotta give them props! -
Not as rare as you would hope. We've seen a bit of this.

I know they are rare, but when you find a good one you gotta give them props!Saw this on a monthly basis when I worked for Goodwill. Those scammers even started sending freight asking for signatures.
