NVidia Tegra X1 Ubuntu Performance Impressive
-
Phoronix takes the NVidia Tegra X1 ARM system for a spin running an Ubuntu Linux desktop. The results are stunning and are comparable to the Intel Core i3 which says a lot for the future of ARM's RISC architecture. This is why the low power ARM architecture is so important, low power but big processing. This is just the beginning of what ARM is going to be able to do as newer architectures release and more cores are built into the chips.

The Tegra X1 is an Aarm64 architecture processor replacing the Tegra K1, which was an impressive processor on its own.

Tests were done on the NVidia Shield TV platform which is an Android-based console device.
