Typically they are commercial and very expensive. XBOX is generally unique in being affordable.

Sony development is generally very hard. Normally in C like languages unique to the platform.

Well, I've gotten a basic Linux Kernel running on my PS Vita (I'm now a registered developer), but I'm trying to get a remote uplink to my PC to remotely and run my desktop over a TCP connection. And I can get it to connect, but it blackscreens on connection. I need some help 😛

Nevermind, got it to work. My PC can now be run remotely over Wi-Fi via my PlayStation Vita. If anyone is at all interested let me know.
