Proxmox or vanilla KVM

I have some VMs on a vanilla KVM install and they work great. I have considered migrating to Proxmox for the backup features. The gui would be nice I suppose. I would most likely use the Proxmox Backup Server as well. This would allow me to rsync the backups to an offsite location too.
For those of you who now use Proxmox - is it worth it to make the change? I know it would take minimal effort. I have another few hosts (Hyper-V 2019) that I would probably migrate as well to PVE. Would make sense to ease management.
Thoughts?

@brandon220 To be fair the worlds your oyster, Hypervisor is just a Hypervisor. Use whatever you are comfortable with. I personally use Proxmox, but I also like XCP-NG.

@stuartjordan Yes, understood. Maybe I should have asked the question differently. Do you have any regrets using Proxmox over what you used previously to it? XCP-NG is a great product as well but I am not familiar enough with it.

@brandon220 I think Proxmox is a great front end for KVM. From what I see in the updates the other day, they are improving their backup server as well. The only type 1 hypervisor I don't like or not a fan of is Hyper-V. I can use it but it needs some tweaks if you don't have it joined to a domain. But there are some good backup products for it. EXI is good but see no point on me paying for it and no point in using the free version as the API's for VM backups are disabled.
