At MangoCon 2019, I will be presenting an updated version of my 2014 talk on "The Commodity Line": understanding how technology in the IT space (and outside of the IT space) migrates over time from specialty to commodity, how this impacts business decision making, and how it impacts IT careers. This is one of my more popular talks that has not yet been recorded and digs into understanding perceived upheaval in both the solution and career space of the industry.
