Anyone Here Into Fan Fictions?

When I was much younger (like 10 and 11), I was on the Gaia site, which was dedicated to role playing. It was a lot of fun! I kind of feel like I want to get back into that now...

Dungeons & Dragons is a great place to start. Lots of support, lots of resources and extremely well known. Might not be the best but it is wildly popular and it is easy to find people to help you. And it is pretty good, regardless.

Not to mention every game store pretty much hosts Dungeons and Dragons Encounters on Wednesday nights, which is a great way to get into to the game if you've never done PnP roleplaying.

@coliver and they often have training and educational options.

Was looking for something online. Role playing forums are the best ones I see.

Can't play D&D online, though. If you want to be introduced to it, it needs to be in person. Ask around at the office, likely someone plays.

Actually there are a half dozen tools to play DnD online. Roll20 is probably my favorite, I am participating in a weekly-ish game using that tool. There is a great Facebook group which basically tries to setup online games for all levels of experience. Even the Roll20 forums have pick-up-games available for newbies.

Cool, I will need to check that out.

@coliver Good to know. I like the idea of a pick-up game.

The Facebook group is called the Tabletop RPG Oneshot Group
