      I installed and run but I get connection error. I maybe doing it wrong. My server is localhost. Do I need to install anything of just dude-install-6.42.10 exe?

            Ah, you are correct and they have not done a good job of labeling their downloads. The only download for The Dude is for Windows, but is only the client.

            The Dude itself runs only on RouterOS but has no download under The Dude from the vendor.

            Looks like it won't work for you.

              But how come few years back I'm using it as client/server on Windows PC? Let me try to old versions.

                A few years ago it wasn't owned by a router vendor.
