      That's right, California educators tried to introduce a warrant-less search and seizure right so that they could bypass the rights of students to take their phones and access them. Thank goodness this died, but it highlights where the really scary people are located. And their response to the failure of the new law is telling...

      She added that students are becoming wiser to the current law and are not turning over phones when asked by school administrators. "Kids are saying you can't make me do it. They're finding out about the law."

      So this applies that the school administrators were using fear and lack of knowledge of rights and a lack of legal representation for unprotected minors to convince children to unknowingly give up their own rights to privacy!
