RingCentral Spamming My Users
-
Not sure if this is actually RingCentral or not, but I dont see any fake links. Some of our users do use RingCentral, but this user is not one of them.
Has anyone else received these in the last month or two? No response from this "Scott" when I emailed him, but he seems to have stopped spamming once I told him to "cut it out"

I wanted to make sure you saw my earlier message. I'd like to connect to discuss the amount of time your employees spend toggling between phone, mobile and work apps.
RingCentral, a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader for Unified Communications as a Service, can transform the way Functional Restoration Associates, Pa does business.
If you're the right person to speak with, what does your calendar look like early next week? If not, who do you recommend I talk to?
Thanks,
Scott

Subject: Request for referral to IT Executive handling communications at Functional Restoration Associates, PaHi <My User> ,
I'm writing to request a referral to the IT executive who manages telecommunications at Functional Restoration Associates, Pa, typically the CTO or VP/Director of IT Operations, to talk about the solution outlined below.
Digital is the new normal for today's workers. They're collaborating 24/7 across multiple locations and rocking the latest mobile devices and apps like Google for Work, Salesforce and Office 365.
These new apps deliver huge productivity gains, but there's a catch:
a) Is your phone system difficult to expand to multiple locations?
b) Are you chained to multiple vendors or aging PBXs?
c) Is it incapable of integrating with popular business apps?RingCentral Office? empowers your business with feature-packed, scalable Unified Communications tools for a superior "in-office experience" anywhere, on any device. You get crystal clear voice, SMS, Voicemail-to-Email, HD Video Conferencing - and seamless integration with Google Apps for Work, Office 365, Salesforce, Zoho and Zendesk.
For one low monthly fee you also get:
- "In the cloud" updates across locations, users and devices
- Bank-level security with end-to-end encryption
- Disaster Recovery with triple-layer redundancy
- 99.999% uptime (best in industry) with minimal IT administration
That's why more than 300,000 companies including Allstate, Box, Del Monte, Liberty Mutual, Intuit and H&R Block rely on RingCentral, and are seeing a 182% ROI over 3 years vs. PBX (Forrester Total Economic Impact Study).
- 2016 TMC Internet Telephony Product of the Year Award
- 2016 Frost & Sullivan's Market Leader Award
- 2015 GARTNER Magic Quadrant LEADER for Unified Communications as a Service
I'd like to arrange a brief call, and thank you in advance for getting me to the right executive. A reply and cc: with their names would be terrific.
Kind regards,
Scott

LAFF. Minimal IT administration because they make it difficult for IT to administer their software/service -
Is info-ring.com actually RingCentral's email domain? Seems unlikely.
-
@scottalanmiller Most likely not... WhoIS info is private.

probably not, but they could be using a 3rd party message delivery. I really dont put anything past this company

Doesn't make sense for RingCentral to split off email because it makes them look like a fake company. I'm going to guess that this is a totally independent spammer.

Third party delivery would not normally look like that, though. ML uses third party for notifications, but it looks like it comes from ML.
-
@scottalanmiller Actually not private... domain by proxy... pretty much the same thing though.

It could be nothing more than a trigger to get you to respond and verify the email address.

Hey Billy -
This is a vendor. Is it coming to users at @<censored>.com?
If so, I'll block the domain. If it's another domain, let me know so I can take that one off, too.
Would love the results of your poll.
-Amy -
Yeah, a reseller vendor would be a real possibility. RC needs to watch out for that. Could be someone trying to discredit them, or someone without a concern about them being discredited.

lol. Considering their Support quality and propensity to just stop responding to support tickets, I dont think RingCentral is worried about being discredited.

We use ring central let me see what domain it comes from on our end.

Report showed over 50 emails, all coming from a @ringcentral.com address.

an actual @ringcentral.com email address?
NOTE: Their is a checkbox under each user account that says "notify me for additional offers..." You may want to check on that one. I can give pictures if you cant find it, but just login as admin on their website and select an extension. Then go to "User Info" or Extension info, something like that

@Brains That's for the incoming and outgoing faxes.
I checked for the email address mentioned in the original post and i haven't received anything from those domains.
