Problem : Holiday lights and decorations are expensive. A corny wreath made in China at your local Walmart can set you back $30! Not to mention that if it's at Walmart, so your friends and family are likely to have it or have at least seen it. How can you save money and be creative?
Resolution : Break away from the cookie cutter decorations and design something unique and on a shoe string budget. Use whatever you have laying around and make something that accents your style. You could use old computer parts such as RAM, network cables, etc. You could also use cardboard boxes, wood, or other common resources you may have.
Prizes: Let's make this interesting and put a restrictive budget on this contest. It's up to you to use your scout's honor to keep to the price budget. You can use whatever you have laying around and purchase whatever you need to spruce it up. Don't forget to include the cost of items like paint and construction paper. There will be 3 different price point categories
$10 - Build a decoration that cost less than $10 to build. The winner will receive a Spiceworks t-shirt and Spice Rex.
$5- This category cuts your budget in half. Let's see what you can come up with for $5. The winner will receive a Spiceworks t-shirt and Spice Rex.?
$2 - Are you kidding me? Let's see what you can come up with for $2. The winner will receive a Spiceworks t-shirt and Spice Rex.
Fine Print : You can enter all categories, but you can only win one. The projects that get the most spiceups at each budget will win. Make sure to include your total cost in your post. Be as honest as possible because Santa Claus is watching.
The contest will run from now to December 15th.?
