If you are really into IT books, like I am, you probably subscribe to O'Reilly Media's deal of the day newsletter. But if you don't, I'll try to keep it updated here. Two deals go out every day, one from their MSPress line and one that is not MSPress. Sometimes they run weeklong deals too. Their deals are awesome, normally 50% off of the digital, DRM-free edition of the book and sometimes really awesome sales where, if you top $100 in a single purchase, the rate is 60% off. Talk about an easy way to build an extensive library! I gave up owning paper books last year and moved almost exclusively to digital which has made moving and relocating so much easier.

Cookbooks are not really good for learning. You'll want a Step by Step or the cert guide most likely.
