No Chat When You Need It!
-
You know what grinds my gears? When you go on a website that will constantly pop up the "chat with our sales person here!" box whenever you don't need it, but when you would love to do a live chat with somebody, you think you can get the box to come up or find a link to initiate a chat anywhere on the site? NOOOOOOOOOOO! GAH! Some companies only have random box pop-ups with no link anywhere to be found on the site, and some have the chat option buried somewhere you have to dig for and often find next to the Ark of the Covenant...
Anyone else have this problem? Current site is 1800Flowers...

Well their name IS a phone number. If what you wanted was their focus they would be called chatflowers.com

I've always had better luck calling a local place to get flowers... It just seemed odd going with an online company when a local one both existed and had better pricing/response.

Name comes from the pre-internet days. They were founded in 1976. They are much more heavily invested online now and I would bet they put more resources into the maintenance than the call center.

Actually I generally forget until I'm on my way home from work... then I suddenly remember and stop at one of the local places.

Well if he is ordering them online, He is setting up a delivery. So it cant be too last minute

1800 flowers is just a middle man who connects you to a local florist anyway

Exactly. I know it's the local floral shops that get the business. I just hate calling places. Like once I'm on the phone, I'm fine. But something about me just HATES calling people I'm not close friends with on the phone. If I know I'll get someone I don't know, it's even worse!

Local Florists will give you better options. They might have something seasonal that isnt on 1800flowers.

Ah I could see the appeal of 1800Flowers at that point... but still you can search a local florist in the area and they generally will deliver. I was doing that when my girlfriend (now fiance) was living in Cooperstown and I was in Rochester.

You need to talk to me before you plan these things. I can do some pretty expensive looking things on a shoe string budget. My whole proposal arrangements were so much cheaper than they could have been. I just had to do some thinking and organizing

Bush Hill Florist in Perry is great. I used them for years. I've always used them. From my first prom to our wedding.
