Need a New RPG

I know you said RPG, but the Warcraft Series (Warcraft Orc & Humans up to Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne) have some of the best story telling of any RTS. May not be your genre but still worth a shot if you like a good story.

I like the feel of Dragon Age, which is kind of both. I LOVE turn-based games though, which makes me the opposite of @scottalanmiller .

I like turn based RPGs because it is about the story, not the action. I dislike turn based strategy because it makes it boring and drawn out.

I like turn based RPGs because it is about the story, not the action. I dislike turn based strategy because it makes it boring and drawn out.
I love turn-based period. That being said, as much as I like a lot of the new factors and features of Civ V, it moves SO much slower than Civ IV that it is almost unplayable by my standards, and that's saying something! I can take over half a dozen turns in Civ IV before one turn finishes processing in Civ V.

You should try playing a MUD. NTG runs one just for fun.

MUDs are dangerous
Nethack is one of the deepest RPGs, but puts nothing into graphics. It's ascii graphics, like Dwarf Fortress. -
