Edge works, Chrome does not -
-
Looks like this might be a weird issue.
Recently replaced a users computer(s) for a single device - no biggie. All was working fine. Our default browser is Chrome and was thusly working fine.
Until this morning. Chrome loads, but will not load any page. Sharepoint, local news, search - anything.
Same function tried and successful using Edge. Every page needed works. DNS was checked, IP etc.
Uninstalled Chrome, deleted all the folders, rebooted installed and same behavior. Same with a different user on the same computer. It's only that computer - and that other one I find out hours later.
Other actions like resetting the browser, clearing the cache have all be done as well, yet Chrome just won't navigate to any page.
Searching Google for solutions to why Chrome does this have all resulted in the same thing, Check this, do that,.. re-image the PC is the final option - but like to avoid that if possible as this computer was just imaged two weeks ago, and the other user - well they are already on their third computer because "Zoom doesn't work" video is choppy - it must be the network.
Network - we are going (finally) from 10-20MB to 1GB. Don't ask and I won't have to drink (office drinking game).

What version of Chrome? They just released v106, so maybe that is a factor. Is there anything in your environment that would require a new release to be whitelisted?

106.0.5249.62 (Official Build) (64-bit)
I have the same version and it works fine for me…

Check that Chrome doesn't have some kind of proxy settings configured?

+1
I'd install Firefox as well to see if it works or not. And maybe Brave since it's also based on chromium.

Are you using GPOs to mange Chrome? Could the new machine be in a different OU and as such getting different policies applied?

Chrome is managed by GPO,… but computer not moved. We had another computer pop up with the issue Friday so issue is growing.
