Fast/painless remote access

What do you guys use for those one off connections that you need but don't have an agent already set up on a machine? Once in a while I have to remotely connect to a users machine who cannot access their student account and it would be nice to have something that wouldn't require them to click on 4 things before they get to where I can access their machine.
It doesn't have to be free.
-
@wls-itguy we have MeshCentral already set up centrally, so any new machine can just use the links that we have for that. Because most users are on Windows, it always has an extra click or two because they chose such a convoluted platform. I'm not sure how to really get it much easier.
The big players, like TeamViewer, also require a number of steps, just different ones, for this kind of usage.
If you only need to SEE the remote screen, it's not so bad. But to have remote access to manage it, I think everything is a bit of a pain.

@scottalanmiller I'd be happy just to see the desktop at this point.

I use Meshcentral with a link like @scottalanmiller
You can also use Remote Utilities for one off situations. You can have a free license for up to 10 connections and they have a Run-Only Agent the users can download from their website.

Get meshcentral setup, won't take too long to get it up and running, then it will be easier to just add machines to if you need to later on.

Most messaging platforms (Teams, Jitsi, Zoho Cliq, Slack, RocketChat, etc.) are going to do that for you.

@wls-itguy We use MeshCentral as well, its just a nice product. Then for those that are on Apples or Mobiles that can't use MC, Anydesk works pretty well.

Right, just to see? You can do Jitsi so easy. it is all a web page.
But also, almost everyone can use Zoom any more. and it also has screen sharing.

I agree for “just need to see” consider Jitsi. For one-off requiring a bit of control consider Zoho Assist.

Forgot that is a feature in Zoom. Works for what I needed.
Thanks everyone!
