glad they made it but nothing will ever beat original carl sagan to me
-
Switched to DS9. I've never watched straight through the series before.

Was Enterprise the one with Scott Bakula in it? I actually liked that one.

It hands down had the best intro of any ST series ever.
Overall though it just didn't know what it wanted to be as a tv show. Had all the elements to be awesome but never put them all together in the right way.

Aw, I really liked it. Got me right in the feelings every time.

Started it, but it was never interesting enough to keep watching.

DS9? Maybe better than TOS, but can't compete with the others. It's so ridiculously cheesy.
TNG and Voyager are by far my favourites.
-
@Dashrender Enterprise intro music was something like a parody that those guys from Southpark would do. Except it was serious.
-
@scottalanmiller Wrong. DS9 is the best, by a long shot. Doesnt really get very good til Worf shows up, and then after the "Miracle in teh Wormhole" it really gets good.
-
But i do like TNG a lot and have seen it the most.
-
Weird,.. Was just dropped on a post from 5 days again when I came into this thread...
Ison is out of surgery, been in recovery and is now on the way home.... Whoot!

I'm trying to fight my way through it. But it feels like the writers mocking the universe. It's impossible to take it seriously

Truth, but you gotta love NDT and the fact that they redid this, possibly hoping that the younger generations would be better able to grasp the new version. But you are correct, Carl Sagan rules.
-
@RojoLoco I love NDT. For my birthday years ago now, my ex-girlfriends family purchased tickets to a planetarium where he recorded an entire presentation on dark matter and I got to see a 3D map of the observable universe. It was an amazing experience.
Carl Sagan will always be special to me though because my Grandfather and I would watch him when I was little and he really challenged me to think in a different way. A lot of nostalgia for me.

Chef's Table on Netflix is an amazing documentary series that follows the top chefs in the world...highly recommended!

I would also recommend you watch "Mind of a Chef". On Netflix (I think), but worth finding. 1st season is all David Chang, 2nd-3rd seasons split up between a few other chefs. When Tony Bourdain called Chang "one of the most divisive figures in cuisine", I knew I would like him.
