Programming Printers

Here is the link to what he thought was "Programming Printers"...
https://static.spiceworks.com/attachments/post/0001/1947/PrinterProgramming.pdf
He's so confused that years later, he STILL thinks that he's programming a printer. He has no idea where this code even goes. He's showing an old doc about PCL and thinks that that is what is programming a printer.

Your last post, "I hope that this gets cached before it gets deleted. This is classic stuff. We will want to reference this again in the future."
Money!

So when can I learn how to program printers during my internship, I MUST have this knowledge.
-
Yeah, today he says that a five year old can Google, so you can use that. But back then, he had to use Google to try to figure out what programming even meant... but didn't understand the stuff that he posted. LOL. That's what we mean by not lying in a plausible way. You can't lie about things you know zero about, you have to understand what you are talking about to lie in a plausible way.
Like I can lie pretty well about having driven a car because I've done it a lot. But I could not lie plausible about flying an airplane, because I have not.
"You know, I grabbed the, um, stick and I, um, programmed a flight path and I yoked the joy rigger and crafted a nifty back tail of the wing strut."

We have to get one of those advantaged dot matrix printers first.

You mean you don't already have this knowledge... jeeess and here I thought the NTG internship was worthwhile....
-
OH man, this is how it started... ready for this...
-
He has since learned to hate Google.
-
Good to know we have an IT basass with a BBS login still.
-
And boom he lowers the hammer.... on himself....

Programmed a printer... via telnet... because the GUI as too slow? That implies not only that you can program that device (you can't) but that there is a programming interface in the GUI!!

Well you're programming this site when you type in the box at the bottom right?

Been waiting most of a decade for the promised video on this one. Many an empty promise of proof from Curtis that has never come to fruition. He always gets mad and says we didn't do something he demanded so no proof for us. As if it hurts us that he looks foolish.
-
OMG I forgot how good this stuff was. Offix.com is going to love reading this.
-
Remember, he ACTUALLY said that he programmed his oven, too.
-
He's right here, my answers WILL be posted to another forum...

But he did, he programmed the clock to the correct time of course...
-
So finally, seven years after his big thread, my answers are finally posted to "another" forum, as if the millions of readers of the one at that time were not enough. So to make good on his promise, I'm posting my answers here, most of a decade later.

I miss b0b, haven't seen him in a while.
