I thought the definition of "IT Pro" was: "anyone and everyone who manages to figure out how to make a spiceworks account". Or is that just SW's definition?

RE: Avatars
What if I actually look surprisingly like a round South Park character?
As long as you aren't a Canadian south park character, buddy. lol

RE: Would You Hire Someone in IT Who Does Not Have a Home Lab
What ever happened to "work / life balance"? I don't have a home lab because I unplug when I leave the office. Wouldn't mind having a lab to dick around with between 9am-6pm, but I have no desire to have noisy ass servers blaring on in my home. So I guess I'd be fuct if I ever went to find a new job?

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
Getting ready to go see one of the most amazing psychedelic rock bands of our time... EARTHLESS. They are playing a little dive bar in East Atlanta, and our whole band will be in attendance. If you have never heard of them, here's a clip from a Mojave desert concert during covid:
I wish the actual live footage of the band was on this, it's incredible.

Waiting on movers to transport a rack of servers to a different site. More fun than you can imagine.
Oh,.. that’s why Star Trek: Discovery started buffering on Plex… well,.. dang
I wish... their guest wifi is pretty weak. But all servers have arrived safely at their new home, snuggled in an inch thick blanket of pallet wrap.

About to head out to a gig! We're playing a venue that is new to us (and relatively new in general). Stoked to play in front of some new faces! If we kill it, we'll be on the short list to open for national touring bands.
https://sonicspeculum.bandcamp.com if you want to hear what we do.
ooooooo how'd it go?
Did you get shortlisted? Were faces melted?
It was an amazing night, all the other bands were excellent, we tore it up - using only half of our usual wall of amps! All faces were melted, and I know we will be doing more shows with the promoter now that he's seen us in action!

@gjacobse looks like standard type materials you can get at home depot - the vertical bits might even be made of audio-type rack rails.

@DustinB3403 I used RC in the past, and it should be able to handle this without issue. You should only need to pay for a single user for this to work.
We currently use RC. Honestly, as much as I want to bag on it, I can't. It works, all the time. The only thing I ever have to touch on RC is add/remove users.
