@WrCombs let me know if you need a demo of Jamf.... I have contacts and have sold it many times... I also recommend Block64 as an alternative (depending on what you need)

@Danp I am not considering any solution right now. This was a product brought to me by a buddy and I am just vetting it.

    • RE: JAMF - Thoughts?

I have a bunch of customers that use Jamf and are happy . A few of them moved instead to Automox. Jamf has gotten more expensive the past few years (like everyone).
I can help with both or other solutions if you need a vendor.

    • RE: Turn server into backup storage for remote servers?

@Pete-S have you thought of selling it? there is a big market right now for getting rid of old/unused hardware. Especially if you have any SSD's in there.

    • RE: Another new server question

Just making sure everyone knows that you DON'T have to use only the online configurators when looking to build a Dell . Lenovo, HP , Supermicro etc server.
There are always options that are hidden or not shown online.
If you want to know how to get something built like that without the constraint of the online configurators - hit me up on private message.

    • RE: Alternative to never in stock Ubiquiti EdgeMax line

@Pete-S first time I am hearing that . Interesting.
I mean - they make a great product but their customer and channel support service has always been non-existent. That model can only work for so long.

    • RE: Alternative to never in stock Ubiquiti EdgeMax line

@JaredBusch so far that I see yes.... but Ubiquiti has made a ton of promises this past year and failed. I dont know how they will survive now that they literally have to say "thanks but no thanks" to literally millions of open PO's that they accepted over the past year and a half. That is NO exaggerations. I am not a stockmarket expert.. but at 350 a share right now..... wouldnt this failure make people sell like mad? No wonder it isnt being crowed around the world publically now.

    • RE: Microsoft Resellers

      Hi everyone.
just a note that it is not the company you work with that makes the difference.
for every person who "hates" CDW there is another that "loves" CDW and that is due to the REP that they work with.
it's 99.9% the rep that makes the difference. Most of the resellers out there do the exact same thing. They just package it differently.
if you have a great rep that you like - GREAT! Stick with them.
if you have a crappy rep who is a newb and doesn't seem to know what they are doing either ask for a new rep who has been around 5 years or more or ..... come to me and I have a BUNCH of options for you of great reps I can hook you up with in a few different companies.
Scott Alan Miller can attest .
      🙂
and if the reseller doesn't listen when you ask for a rep who has been around 5 years or more... that means they don't care about your business - MOVE AWAY.
