Made it a year at my new gig 8/9. Amazing how much you can learn and get your hands on when you're not confined to a box your (old) boss tells you to stay inside!

My son's playing in 2 different football leagues - So far they are undefeated -

Today I'm consulting with a customer about upgrading their phone system and fixing online ordering issues -

      Found this https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/debugger/bug-check-0x139--kernel-security-check-failure

But it didn't really help cause the '3' error is worded weirdly here.
3 Address of the exception record for the exception that caused the bug check

    • BSOD error 0x0000139 Bug Check

I got a Windows 10 Pro 22H2 Desktop PC that is BSOD multiple times a day, event view shows the picture below. I believe this is what's causing it, but Can't find where the corruption is; Tried SFC scan and got the Device to run for 3 days without BSOD, then it just started happening again today out of nowhere.
      any thoughts?

    • Remote session with Chrome OS ?

Anyone do regular remote sessions with Chromebook / ChromeOS?

what do you use? we currently aren't able to use remote.google.com/access - the user is getting an error that it has to be Windows 10 or MacOS 10. Wont download the file.
Zoho Assist also wont download the assist file and says the same error.

      Thanks in advanced

Got a client running Windows 10, and every time they restart the computer, it resets everything on the desktop - Background is wiped, apps and programs are removed, files are removed, the only things that stay are the recycling bin, and Edge. I have no idea what is causing this, and I have no idea where to start. Anyone seen this before?

When you say programs are removed - do you mean the shortcuts on the desktop or actual full applications that were installed - like Chrome or Adobe Reader - are removed upon reboot?

      Just the shortcuts, good catch.

Just a wild guess, but maybe a corrupted profile or a temporary profile that's getting created each time the user boots?

      Interesting, i'll look at that

Is something like DeepFreeze in use? That could explain part of it at least.

Just reload it with Win11 or latest Win10?

Would love to, but don't have the ability to.

      Care to elaborate?

sure, The client is located in PA, I dont have direct access to the computer, they have an internal IT team that I can suggest this to as a fix but we don't have the ability to reload their machines. My current Job is MSP for Restaurants, 100% remote support.
