Thanks for posting my review here. Will be glad to answer any questions on StarWind. I am not a great expert on this product, but I have spent a month reviewing all interesting aspects of the product.
New blog post explaining why I think Admission Control isn't always useful.

Hi everyone,
Just tested unsupported upgrade path from vSphere 5.5 with Windows vCenter to vSphere 6 U2 with vCSA and external PSC.
Definitely I am not inventing a wheel here - plenty of people have already done something similar - but I noticed that people for some reasons prefer 'donkey-monkey procedures' so I thought I would just write down all my steps.
Part 1 - Convert vCenter Server 5.5 to vCSA 5.5
Part 2 - Upgrade vCSA 5.5 to vCSA 6.0 U2
Part 3 - Upgrade ESXi hosts with ESXCLI
Part 4 - Moving to external PSC
As always - happy to get any feedback.
Thanks,
Askar
Finishing another 4-parts blog post on migration of vCenter 5.5 to vCSA 6 U2 with external PSC.

@JaredBusch I thought OEM license binds you to specific hardware. So if you move OS off that server the license is still legally owned, but will prohibit you from running OS on another server

i recently virtualize a WIN Server 2008 R2, and it didn't ask me for activation, i wonder if it will be the case with you, i hope so
Was it under OEM license?
@iroal I am wondering if VMware ThinApp could help you to run Navision Client on W2008
