@scottalanmiller This is true. They work off of VSS or Volume Shadow Service. Using Shadow Copies is not worth much. The processes behind it though are critical.

RE: Shadow Copies Are Not A Backup Replacement
@Bill-Kindle Exactly. For long-term backups, etc. get an appliance of some sort. Or, get something that does a real backup. Using shadow copies for backup is like trying to define a word with the word itself in the definition.

RE: Shadow Copies Are Not A Backup Replacement
@Bill-Kindle Site just went live today. I'm just impatient.

RE: Tired of winter?
@Bill-Kindle It was 26-28ish on Sunday around 1 when I went to get groceries. Wore shorts, short sleeve shirt and a light hoodie. Got funny looks inside the store, outside and while filling my gas tank. LOVE IT!

RE: Shadow Copies Are Not A Backup Replacement
@Bill-Kindle 'bout time you got here! I was getting worried! You are spot on with that. Shadow copies are great if someone loses or accidentally deletes a file. Not a replacement for a good backup or especially DR plan.

RE: SOHO Router Equipment
@art_of_shred Agreed...their support is by far some of the worst...

RE: Anyone playing with OpenShift?
@Hubtech Ah ok. I knew SaaS but had just never seen it in that context. The original makes sense. Just not terms I had seen before.

RE: Tired of winter?
@katie Yea, heat with humidity sucks. I like cool and humid. I can tolerate hot and dry. Hot and humid is classic upstate NY and I HATED it.

RE: Tired of winter?
Second ice storm of the year for Dallas. It isn't nearly as bad as the last one but still, very peculiar. I was told they get one every three years on average about like this. This is number two this year alone. I think Texas is just trying to make me feel at home...lol

RE: Tired of winter?
@Katie Keep it! It is awesome here today! 14 out this morning and if it weren't for the ice, it'd be amazing! Love a nice crisp and cool morning!

RE: WC question
@Katie Right. The tile and the trim around the door would be good too. As far as the ceiling, you have trim around the ceiling? o.0
And around the light fixtures, yes, that's a given. As far as the edgers thing, you will never see a professional painter using them. Just saying.

RE: WC question
@Dominica Those have a tendency to leak onto the trim. Father worked over 20 years in professional painting and refused to use 'em.

@Dominica Not going to comment...not going to comment...not going to comment...
