Thanks for the reply. I've never steered away from using Dell branded drives in any of my servers. Typically I am not a fan of refurbished anything, but when you can buy two for almost the price of one it's hard to pass.

I was wondering if you guys fill you xbyte servers with the hard drives from xbyte or do you buy new? If from xbyte, what has your experience been in terms of failure rates since I assume the drives are also refurbs. If new, are you buying directly from Dell or do you fill with Enterprise drives from Newegg/Amazon?

I usually buy most of my Dell servers through my Premier account but xbyte seems like an interesting alternative. I am looking more for production than for lab purposes.
