I wouldn't either. They all use Office 365 and get everything they need via services offered with Office 365 already. No need to pay more for a VM to do anything.

Now, if it was me doing the selling/planning I'd be using Zoho Office rather than Office 365, but I have no say in that stuff.

I've heard good things about people using Zoho, I did give there free account a try a few years ago. They seem to incorporate a lot into their product, it's not just email is it.

@wrcombs it's an annoying issue, never used to get it with win7. think the connectivity checker come in with win 8.

Some servers I use Htop but I do like Glances though, I use it on my home machine for example.

@pmoncho yes while the man in the middle still passes the packets through to the router and back to the client. If they are using a basic hub (layer 1) rather then a switch don't need to do this at all. just fire up wireshark as hubs don't use mac addresses.

There are a few php/mysql builders online as well. some good, some bad.

Get meshcentral setup, won't take too long to get it up and running, then it will be easier to just add machines to if you need to later on.

Besides paying you to use Windows, what made you move from Microsoft to Linux?

Everything It's slow, it's buggy, updates are a train wreck, security, easy of use, aesthetics, support, flexibility, software, software management, shell quality, etc.

As Dustin was saying above I cannot believe you need to have a Microsoft account now for signing on. with even more tracking embedded wouldn't surprise me.

How much has our work flow changed from using pc/laptop since the xp/win7 era? The only reason they wanted to change the OS so badly was to support the mobile and tablet market. But most people didn't want that and their mobile effort failed. They shouldn't of touched the desktop as much. They finally got somewhere with Windows 7, such a shame.There is nothing inovating about what the new Windows will be like that linux distros haven't already done.

At the end of the day, if the op want's to learn exchange that's up to him. This is a forum where we can give constructive criticism but, there is also no need to go on about it and give a little help instead. Just a thought??

Have you made sure you have downloaded the latest CU for that version of exchange as well otherwise it will all go to shit. Any reason why you don't want to trial 2019 when it's up to CU10?

I used to use XCP-NG couldn't fault it, moved over to proxmox a while back. I have had no issues with Proxmox. Last time I use Vmware was a couple of businesses was using esxi 6.5 I believe. I personally have no issue with Vmware just have no interest in using it in production.

I am wondering if MS expects businesses to be all cloud in the next ten years? Those that are not, they don't care about.

Is indeed what they want I believe, especially with Windows 365. They already had a method of creating RDS solutions in Azure. They have just made it easier to do with Windows 365.

Hasn't Chia Minning kind of failed now as a currency, that should help bring the prices back down. I'd just would'nt buy any second hand hard drives at the moment.

I know this depends really on load rather than amount of users. I'm interested in knowing what amount of users people would have on a small network using this firewall for basic office use. I use one at home but am Interested in using this in small networks.

Yep works well, I'm part of their Discord channel and speak to the developers regularly. They a good bunch and quite supportive. I have donated a couple of times to the project.

An Idea if anyone wants to try for free, I have just set this up as a test on oracle cloud for free using their free arm processors with 4CPU and 24GB ram.
