Have you had any contact with AT&T, or was it all Ubiquity?

Its a flat monthly fee I believe, all rolled into one bill. So breaking out the phone part may be tough. I am going to dig into the "Did we "Really" need to port our DID. For now, it is so convoluted and fraught with WTF's, I am going to suggest that we go ahead and rather we can or cannot, just add the warning. Easy peasy.

Well, if you didn't run the call through them, you'd need a way to send the CID information to that vendor so they could give you the screen pops to the ERP for your call center. I'm guessing you could have an function on the PBX that makes an API call to the vendor, definitely would be the cleaner way to do it... you also get to control your inbound costs.

I also wonder if the current solution allows them to be in the call path for voice recording purposes? I don't understand the RTP stuff enough to know. i.e. could that vendor be eavesdropping on all of your calls?

We've had the Meeting Owl for about a year now. It's great - though the room it's in is smaller than yours.
We've got another larger room with a more traditional camera. That room is less popular than the smaller one, partly because at the remote end people prefer the view given by the Meeting Owl.

We don't ever overcome it. We just search for tools to better list it(documentation) so we can always see how much we will never finish 😖

Update: Sorry about it being so late. Meraki/Cisco does and will not support this format in client VPN. Which translates to, ended up being a little over 9000 in sales revenue for them. Oh well..... Big fish feed on the little fish. Disgustipated.

You can require passwords for the individual meetings if you like. Usernames are useful for management, but not security. Don't get me wrong, easy management encourages security. But in a case like this, it actually makes it more secure, not less. If you use u/p then you encourage a system where once hacked, people can record you. Jitsi does a non-repeating double password mechanism that's all but unbreakable unless someone shares it, and that's a risk either way.

@travisdh1 you have a problem with Googles tracking I bet 😉 security isn't a problem but that tracking is debatable. You can always install Neverware and lose some of the tracking especially if you don't use the Google Console.

Yes, but it is not an ID in those cases. It's an extra part tied to your other information that together form an ID. SS on its own in not unique, so doesn't identify you.

You have to have one, and you have to have the right one, but knowing one doesn't prove the slightest thing to the IRS.

Credit agencies make up something unrelated in association with it.

So without a time clock, you can't be sure employees are at work or working? I haven't used a timeclock since my teens. I know this doesn't address your issue, but didn't realize time locks were still a thing. I only note time deviations at my current job, such as PTO or sick pay.

However, I agree with the others. Fire people who are stealing from the company. Time = money, no difference here. As IRJ pointed out, limiting this from only Onprem may cause unintended limitations and force the bad actors to do it in other ways anyways. I'd only do that if they forced me to after explaining it may not be a real solution.

The question was more for an understanding of "Could this be an issue?" @Dashrender I have been using lastpass for the past 3 years. I irritate everyone that needs to type in a password I have issued, because they are 20 char upper, lower, symbol mix. I wanted to ping the group and see if people who ask me if it is smart and legit so I could say yay or nay with confidence.

Of course - I understand why you asked about the service - normal users might ask you, you want to have an understanding why you do or don't recommend one or more of them.
