@harry-lui said in China ends presidential term limits - The government is defending its vote:

There are currently no term limits on US Senators nor House of Representative either. It hasn't been since 1776. Where is the outrage?

We are ALWAYS outraged. It's a ridiculous system.

Do something about it since US congress won't.

      https://www.lexisnexis.com/constitution/amendments_howitsdone.asp

"The other method of passing an amendment requires a Constitutional Convention to be called by two-thirds of the legislatures of the States. That Convention can propose as many amendments as it deems necessary. Those amendments must be approved by three-fourths of the states."

This is kind of where I am at as well today. The Leviathan is running amok.

Based on the above information and the error code I called out, I'd take a look at the firewall settings and see if there is something off there.

IE: Due to what the error is saying, you aren't being allowed access purely due to being on a different sub

Thats a great point. They are, on different subnets. Gotta get better at reading the error message. Thanks man!! Will follow up if i get is working.

    • HDMI wall Plate and Jack issue.

Does anyone have any pointers on fortifying HDMI wall jacks? Everything we have tried has been, bent, broken, smashed or lost. The most frustrating thing is users break it and we find out about it when the next person has a meeting and cant plug in. Do i need to go a different direction? Thoughts?

      FTFY. 🙂

Wow, the hits keep coming. I feel sorry for all the people that work for facebook if this gets any worse. I did find it strange that I had to remove Ireland from from our block by region firewall list. Totally shut down Facebook. I wonder if they take advantage of the low tax rate somehow by doing that. Hmmm?

Facebook, like nearly all tech companies, have big offices in Dublin. Dublin is the EU's silicon valley.

Maybe its for the Guinness? 🙂

    • RE: What Lies Beneath: Facebook Knows More Than User Data

Scouts honor. I have seen this happen. Was too creepy IMHO to be a coincidence.

      Tinfoil hats not required

Some Facebook users have said that Facebook did more than just collect metadata from messages. Multiple individuals recounted to Ars occasions when they had the content of text message conversations nearly immediately affect advertisements they were shown on Facebook. These users say they saw ads that were specific to locations or services that were discussed via SMS, but those subjects were never the focus of Facebook posts or other Facebook content.

@popester this stance honestly wouldn't surprise me.

But what I suspect would happen would be a uprising of people who know what a tyrannical government would be like and work to actively overthrow it.

So you are saying round two of 1765? We can only hope that it doesn't get that far.

This seems to be the direction to go. Thank you, all of you.

FFS, has anyone read their ToS?

They violated them. They didn't honour the terms that they had agreed to. Like someone else we know .

Really? There were so many weasel worded things in there when I read it, I just assumed that they've always been "sharing" information they collect.

This reminds me of Southpark Human Centipad. 🙂

    • Quick question: because I think I messed up.

Do the Name Server records over ride other records like the SOA records? I have changed the name server records for my godaddy domain which makes DNS unmanageable through their interface. I have the records present in on the hosted name server but I am getting no indication that traffic is being redirected. ???!!!
