New support ticket system for Webroot for business
We just released a brand new support system that now allows you to have separate tickets (with ticket numbers, gasp!) for each issue that you submit. No longer will all your support issues be jumbled together in one big long spaghetti conversation. Check out the release notes for details here:

RE: Killer deal on a well-equipped workstation/gaming laptop.
I'll go be extra mean on 4chan later to make up for it

RE: EATON AMA
What are some of the newer and future advances in power management that we might not be aware of yet? Any cool new technologies we should learn about?
-
RE: What Do IT Pros Drive?
IT pros drive value and ROI! thanks, I'll be here all week. Remember to tip your waitstaff.

RE: EATON AMA
Couple of ones that might be more home oriented than business:
- Do you have any plans to get into the home battery market, like Tesla? (or are you already) These are the backup batteries that you can charge from solar and then power your home from (or use as a backup for if the power is out).
- What would you recommend in the prosumer market for IT pros or technically minded folks to use at home?

RE: What are your cloud predictions for 2016?
Cloud buzzword usage will go up 57%

A free market would be SAM letting someone else get a word in edgewise in this thread

Mac is back baby!
I know all IT folks hate dealing with Macs in a business environment. We've tried to make things a little less painful by improving the way our console handles Mac installations:
-
Macs will now report into the sites information panel for infection related data.
-
Administrators of the Webroot SecureAnywhere Endpoint Protection Management Console, now have full visibility of all endpoints, irrespective of which operating system or version of operating system is used.
-
Mac computers are included in all views, reports and managements screens.

RE: Webfiltering - what do you use - assuming you do.
Webroot does also have a web content filter service, to add to your list of things to consider:
http://www.webroot.com/us/en/business/products/web-security/The nice thing about that is that it isn't an appliance and you can lock down settings on the machine so no matter where they are they can't get to dangerous sites.

RE: MangoLassians assemble to help out Spiceworks
@Ambarishrh said in MangoLassians assemble to help out Spiceworks:
Great start @Nic I would love to help the guys in all ways possible. From here, i could only do few things; chip in to the donation fund (may be not a big amount, but something i would be more than happy to spend, ready to do this monthly), disabling adblockers on spiceworks site both at work and home. I wish i could help more than that!
Do you plan to have a platform for the guys to interact either here or on spiecworks groups?
One of the former Spiceworks is putting together a Facebook alumni group and I'm helping point people in that direction.

RE: MangoLassians assemble to help out Spiceworks
I haven't heard of anything yet, but it's only been a few weeks. That's a pretty short time to land a professional white collar job.

RE: Who is Attending SpiceWorld 2016 Roll Call

@Nic said in Time for me to move on from Webroot:
I'm jumping ship to rejoin the startup world and begin a new endeavor building a community from scratch: http://growersnetwork.org/ (insert your weed jokes here).
I'll still hang out on here, just not officially representing Webroot. I'm still happy to answer any Webroot questions and help you get in touch with the right people at Webroot if you need help. We'll get a replacement for me once they can hire someone, but in the meantime I'll fill in.
I'll be working from home now, so anyone passing through Colorado let me know so I can have an opportunity to get out of the house and socialize with people in person
Good luck sounds like this is right up your alley... and I don't mean the weed.
Yeah I get what you mean - more in the startup world, and building a new endeavor. Plus it's something I believe in, providing good medical options to people who need it, plus a safer recreational drug than alcohol.
