Pi runs Debian.

Yeah, I don't have any debian-based systems I can check right now, but I know it still has the mechanism built-in. Just might not be rsyslog.

Yeah, seems weird. VMware is all about enterprise and production. Bitnami is all about hobby and non-production. Seems like an oil and water purchase. We would never allow Bitnami in production, it's purpose is apps for people who can't install a server - e.g. never okay for production. Easy. Either they have had enough feedback that they think people want it and it will earn them more profits. Or They simply think it will turn a fast profit on the buzz and they hwant to cash in on it. Or they want the developers behind it and don't care baout the product itself.

If you look in the setupVars.conf file, they are listed like this.

So you might have to edit the file instead.
But if you click the save button from the web ui, it will reset the ordering of the upstream dns servers.
