    • RE: Setting Permissions on Shared Calendar in Exchange 2010

Righto, I'm not going to pass judgement on the person who set up the calendar except to say "Don't let them do it again".

From the looks of that icon and the fact that you can't find it under Recipient Config --> Mailbox, I'd say it's a Public Folder with a calendar bolted on. Hence why you can't see it in the aforementioned location.

Go to Toolbox --> Public Folder Management Console. Have a look there for it.

Give that link a go and if that doesn't help, we'll move on to plan B.

I'm recruiting at the moment and the job ad asked for a covering letter. Despite this being a requirement in the ad, pretty much no-one included one, which has pissed me off. Basically, either people couldn't be bothered to write one, or they couldn't be bothered to read the ad properly.

I used to bin those straight up. If you can't read and follow one simple instruction, then I don't want you.

I've had a deep fried Mars bar... once. Not keen to repeat it. Almost chundered it was so horrifically sweet.

(Au Mars bars are a bit different to US Mars bars)

Deep fried Ice Cream tastes pretty good though.
      Deep fried banana was... different

I usually ask for movies or music as I don't normally get new ones during the year.
This year I'm looking for $$ to fund my gaming rig upgrade.

So my wife told me last night to email her a Christmas list. So I did and I was just thinking what other people are looking at getting other than one million dollars.

      http://www.nitroplanes.com/95a355-800-tempest-rtf-24g.html I like RC planes 🙂

      http://www.bananahobby.com/4-ch-syma-x5c-explorer-w-hd-camera-rc-quadcopter.html

      Lumosity for 1 year

      SSD for my laptop http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820721107

I know my list is small but some years its only like 1 or 2 things.

      So whats on your list?

There are much better SSDs than that one. Get the Samsung SSDs. Even if you don't get the Pro, I've seen a major performance improvement in my Samsung over my Kingston, which was that exact drive.

Someone I know has a Samsung 850 Pro and loves it.
I'm getting a SanDisk Extreme Pro 240GB for a sweet deal in the next few weeks.

Both the Samsung 850 Pro and SanDisk Extreme Pro series drives have 10 year warranties. 🙂

I'm resisting the urge to post a textual slap down. I'm not in the right frame of mind to be reprimanding people. I might just be taking what they have said out of context.

    • RE: What goes into your documentation

      @coliver said:

Two main questions for the community.

What do you put into your documentation? Saying everything is a bit unrealistic although that would be the ideal, there has to be a cut off point where you assume most IT people have that base knowledge and thus doesn't need to be recorded

How do you write your documentation? I mean more along the lines of format, a log, how-to, etc?

I'm having an issue of what do I write up, I don't think I've really done anything special so it is difficult for me to continue with documentation when everything seems to be fairly (very) straight forward. I generally do all my write ups as how-to's, which makes them easy to work with and easy to pass along to someone who may not have the same technical acumen as I do.

Three things that are vital: Words, Pictures and Arrows.
Hopefully all three relate to what you are supposed to be writing about. 😄

    • iPhone photo shifticator

I was digging around the San Disk page earlier and I came across the iXpand Flash Drive.

Essentially it's a USB drive for your iPhone/iPad.

      http://www.sandisk.com/products/mobile/ixpand/

Has anyone used something like this before?
      Are they any good?

It looks, at the very least, like a very useful offline backup for those who don't want to put all their eggs in the iCloud basked (if any 😛 )

I've always found that instructions for user interfaces are like toddler jokes. You know where they are supposed to go but bits get left out and the punch line is no where to be found.

Ah, crap. I know it's a wee problem but it'll take them a while to fond something to go on as it's probably the biggest brown-out that the area has ever seen.
Perhaps, this is a result of the citizens were giving back to society that which they were given and it back-fired gloriously. I doubt we'll ever know flushure.
