@scottalanmiller Not sure Tracey's account handle but tag him please. We were in the Rochester local news! When we were stagger--I mean walking back to the hotel from Ox and Stone, there was a block we walked through with a ton of cop cars and an ambulance, not sure if he remembers. Well apparently, a car caught fire and they had to drag a woman out of the car (she lived, it's ok). We walked through the aftermath during the clean up.

Wellllll...my flight got delayed Saturday and I ended up eating breakfast in Rochester and flying out in the afternoon. At a diner, there's some local news station on. Banner is mentioning the fire and the street names. I'm like "Hey, I remember those street names. We walked past that. Ohhhh that's what happened!" They're interviewing some guy (first responder of some sort) and there's my bald head in the background and then Tracey right behind me hahaha --xByte Mike

    • RE: Dell R430 with PERC H730 support SSD? (Samsung 850 Pro)

@BRRABill The Edge drives are a great alternative and even Intel DC drives are very popular running on the premise that Intel being such a large company knows the cost of not having their drives work and so in a situation where Dell changed their firmware...Intel would be devoting a very sizable amount of their resources to making it work again! Let me know if you have any questions about either one.

If it's longer than a paragraph, I don't read it. Keep the e-mail brief. Don't give a bullet point list of everything the product does--just focus it to the ones that might relate to me and ask to schedule a call.

@JohnFromSTL If you'd like to arrange a call, we can go over some of these specs in greater detail to help work out the solution. We here at xByte can definitely help lay some groundwork out for you. I don't see anything about memory requirements for capacity planning yet. Has it been mentioned?

@BRRABill I'm sorry, I mistyped. End-of-the-day brain functions yesterday! They greenlight in the server. They have a yellow triangle pop up in OpenManage that says "non Dell drive detected". They do not amberlight when they're working properly.

@MKM8DY I have numerous templates saved depending on the circumstances. I delete certain parts each time though so I'm ONLY giving them the info that would relate to them. The key is to keep it brief and leave them with a "value nugget" unique to them.

@BRRABill The error message will pop up saying "localhost: Fault detected on drive 0 in disk drive bay 1." and then a more detailed description. The amber light for Edge normally reads "non-Dell drive detected", that's all.
