      The uber-secure OpenBSD project takes security very, very seriously and in order to protect SSL from issues like Heartbleed they have forked OpenSSL into their own project, LibreSSL. At this time, LibreSSL is considered so secure that OpenBSD, the highest standard for security, has already officially adopted it into the OS. For everyone else, we will have to wait until the project gets funding to bring LibreSSL to other OSes.
