"I'll take the #7.... and a beer. Got any hot sauce back there?" - me at any Asian restaurant.
My usual as well until I had a goat vindaloo from a very nice little Indian lady who recently emigrated to Toronto who had a mischievous gleam in her eye. I'm pretty sure the goat died angry and her liquid death vindaloo sauce only added to it. Surprised it didn't melt the finish off the bowl.

I have no problem with it calling home to the mothership
I have a serious problem with it calling home to the mothership after you've disabled all the options that allow it to do so.
I'd be very curious to see what it's sending.

I got a flat tire, so obviously the guy who put the new spark plugs in last summer did something to the tire...
More like I ran out of gas!!
GAS?! That's a consumable!! It should be free forever with purchase! How could you do this to me? Don't you know who I am? YOU'LL HEAR FROM MY LAWYERS!

Bring her along to romantic Rochester NY!
Hey honey, would you like to have a romantic weekend get away for just us two? Don't mind the guy sleeping in the other bed, it's how I got us a discounted room! Yeah and I'll be away all day at a conference you'll think is as exciting as watching paint dry, but you could do fun things by yourself while I party and get drunk! It'll be awesome, I promise.

@MattSpeller too much of that dihydrogen monoxide is a killer...
It can even be used as a weapon!
I've heard it is an effective torture device! (for certain values of effective)
It's actually very good as an industrial cutting fluid as well

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
When you finish cleaning a server and pop the lid on, get it back in the rack powered up, look over and spot this.

@gjacobse Form factor and how quiet the chassis is are large factors. One day I'll have a rack in my home but that day will not be soon.
Oh that's a conversation we can have. If you guys were making a network closet at home how would you cool it?
I would cool it ambiently and save money on my heating bills. Nothing says "I work in IT" like a server rack in your living room.

That little bit of edgy-ness keeps me sharp.
Honestly, that's why I stuck around and spend much more time here than elsewhere now. IE The Spiceworks Community forums isn't getting me a good slap upside the head when I do something stupid.
It's a bit more aggressive here, I think, but in a more professional way. Like a continuous technical roundtable. Everyone is on the same page. Spice Comm has a lot of people that are pretty surprised when someone proposes a different idea or points out a problem.
Exactly - there's no points or things to win it's just purely about how good is your contribution to the discussion.
