Good lord, someone's getting fired + put on trial for that one
@Nic You invent a workable system for internet reputation that does not violate privacy and you'll be a billionaire. Conservatively.

Is Gb to the desktop really worth the expense over 100 Mb?
Bloody rights it is. Granted we deal with big chunks of data a lot (video).
At minimum do GB backbone for all your server room stuff.
Complaining bitterly for the last couple of months about the previous admin who setup a 17gb OS drive for a server.
Just discovered the server dates from 2002 and it's got a 17GB os drive because it's made of two 18GB u160 SCSI drives.
I feel slightly like a jerk, mostly astonished that they're still spinning after 13 years of CONSTANT use
@rojoloco best have your wallet ready
@nadnerB I just finished coughing and choking on my coffee lol - thanks man

And a cookie... though are they a biscuit?
One of the very few things that either side of my family will EVER agree on is that when sitting down to an afternoon cuppa, one enjoys a biccy. Not biscuit, cookie, or baked good. Proper high tea can involve sandwiches and other little bites, but the rules are different and much more involved. It's a whole event.
Make mine earl grey, double bergamot, whole leaf - steeped 3 minutes.
One can take these things too seriously, but I am a product of my heritage.
It's the dihydrogen monoxide in it that you should be worried about

Higher ups are asking what will be presented / what will I learn / what's the value?
Help me validate this conf to them so I can attend
Wouldn't you saturate the connection long before it mattered anyway?
$0.02 - I'd stick with the RAID controller, that's a damn good one and the 1gb model has battery backup too IIRC.
@dafyre I had a C level message me on our skype corporate account and ask if we had any 1on1 video chat software

Well MangoLassi is the official day time drink. We need an official after hours one!
Wonder if Manog's and Dr. Pepper mix at all?
Would that make a Mango Pepper or a Dr Lassi?
Better go with Mango Pepper, Dr Lassi sounds furry
When I sold stuff (granted not electronics) I made a point of calling or doing it in person. Not only will you do more business but it's WAY HARDER for clients to be horrible to you lol. Also it establishes your face / voice as the one who provides stuff to fix problems. Then you're part of the solution.
