@scottalanmiller Do you know where the snap version of mongodb is installed? I can't find it.

      Under /var/lib/snapd/snap/rocketchat-server/current/bin/

But what you want to do I assume is use Compass and just attach to it remotely. It's on port 27017 as usual.

Along this line, if you setup LE with certbot and then setup a timer to renew it daily, you will never see this again.
If you use your wildcard cert, you will have to update it again when it expires.
But, that said, setting up SSL on Apache is not all that hard. Let me look for an example.

certbot renews wildcards as well using a DNS plugin.

      https://certbot.eff.org/docs/using.html#dns-plugins

You don't always have to setup a timer, Ubuntu for example automatically sets up a cron job when the package is installed.

      cron is being phased out

@scottalanmiller I saw that too. I am wondering if I could just delete the folder in question and see if that helps.

Maybe, do a move, not a delete, in case you need to put it back.

Good idea! I moved the folder and it may have taken longer then normal, but it finally loaded again.

@wrx7m I only have one zwave device which is a smart lock.
@Obsolesce I use Home Assistant and love it. Easy to setup and configure. I tried openHAB but couldn't figure it out.
@NerdyDad I've been looking into NodeRed for controllable leds

sume, I would need to start over with the vm installs, considering they were in the middle of installing the OS. Host machine is setup with mdadm raid.

check the file system for errors + scrub the raid array if you are paranoid

XFS doesn't even have a filesystem check utility 🙂

      xfs_check
      http://docs.cray.com/books/S-2377-22/html-S-2377-22/z1029470303.html

Does it actually do something? XFS famously does a placebo check.

Yes, it actually does something. It's fixed a couple of systems here for me that wouldn't mount a data drive.

      Interesting. With XFS?

Yepp. I know the system is XFS. I'm trying to get connected to it now, but it lost it's AD connection and I don't have a local login on it, lol.

Can't you boot the machine using some LiveCD and alter the PAM order / add pam_unix/pam_localuser? You could also change root's password this way. This only works if the drive is not encrypted or you have the key.

Yeah, I could do that, but I like my job, lol. In an emergency that's what we do, but this isn't an emergency (the system is up, my login isn't working).

      If you say so 😉

@mattbagan or one of the mods... Can you add tags to the post?

It's in the SS section, but yes.

      Correct location for this?

      Yes, correct location.

That's what I thought but they confused me.

When you make a new topic or edit an existing one (first post only), you have the option to add tags to it.

Tags are below the post entry section. If you go back and edit the top post you will see what we are talking about as it seems a mod has added the sodiumsuite tag already.
