In this day and age, most people are more scared of "what happens to you if your accounts die?"

Whoof, that's rough; I'm interested to see how this is going to affect business internationally.

We are a LONG way from actually seeing life. At best we are just looking to figure out if we are really detecting planetoids or not. It's amazing how little we actually see of the things that we are excited about. And anything we see is much more ancient than us so we might easily see places "too early."

That's Kansas City, so just a suburban extension of the existing Google Fiber.

Interesting. Uber has been having issues in California. Will be something if they can actually compete with the infamous NYC taxi services.

That law is going to be no end of trouble.

And it only affect aggregators/search engines. Not the original publisher. So it is not like the information is going away. Really really poorly done law.

Yeah, and makes little sense to enforce - you'd have to request anonymity every time someone makes a new page of the same information.

Meraki is free and because it installs onto the Windows boxes (and Macs) it doesn't do the network scan. So it is massively easier to manage, more reliable and more secure because you can leave your ports closed.

I have a glass of wine every night with my evening meal at around six. Then a pint of beer at eight. Possibly a bourbon before bed. I go out rarely these days, maybe once a fortnight, but when I do it's never more than four pints of beer. I'm at the limit of what the UK government recommends, but there seems to be very little evidence that what some people call "heavy drinking" actually shortens life. And it certainly makes life more bearable!

I'm drinking more (and working less) at the moment because we're having an unusually warm and sunny summer here in England and warm weather + cold lager + garden = heaven.
