One of our ESX hosts just started throwing the error message, "vSphere HA agent on this host could not reach isolation address: 192.168.1.1" Our network went down and then back up in a few minutes. It's happened a couple of times and I don't want to just ignore it. Is there a way to verify that the isolation address has indeed been configured correctly and that the host is functioning correctly.

RE: SharePoint Online as a File Server
@nerdydad said in SharePoint Online as a File Server:
@jblaze You backup your pst files to the same systems as the email servers? You might as well backup the pst files directly onto the Exchange server in house.
They're actually saved locally in our Archive Server, just weighing options on using SharePoint online and ditching the infrastructure.

Is anybody in the world happy with Sharepoint Online or OneDrive for Business?
I cant think of two worse 'solutions' for file storage/sharing.Not of which I am aware. I like Sharepoint conceptually, but not in practice.
My thoughts exactly. In concept, it's a great idea until you look at the planning, execution, and maintenance of the service by the end-user. It seems like a mixed bag of experiences wavering on "it's ok" or "it isn't good" dependent on people's environment.

Unable to ping FOM and HPE P4300 G2 Storage Server from VM
Hi Guys! This is a repost. I've been dealing with an unusual situation. I have an iscsi network with 2 P4300 G2 Storage Servers. I can ping both storage systems from VMware server 1 just fine. However, when I attempt to ping the storage servers from VMware server 2, I get the error message "Destination host unreachable." Only 1 out of the 4 packets actually goes through. We're running VMware vCenter Server 5.0.0. Both VMware server 1 and server 2 are on the same isci network and they're both pingable. I'm attempting to setup an FOM for the storage units and I'm not sure what exactly is causing the network connectivity issue. Also, VMware server 1 storage views show the datastore is set in three areas: Backup NAS, a LUN which is a VMFS, and another Local VMFS. VMware server 2 storage views show the datastore is set to only a LUN VMFS. VMware server 2 also has a Intra VM Affinity rule set for that server. Both P4300 G2 Storage Servers are on Raid 5. Wondering if anyone has ever run into an issue like this before.

Latency with VDI in VMware View 7 environment
We're experiencing latency with our persistent VDIs in our VMware View environment. We're struggling with poor performance with our VDI desktops. Users are experiencing lag when dragging windows between multiple monitors, ‘choppy’ graphics/video, and slow application launching. The problems occur with local users. Both LAN and WAN could be involved. Also, file transfer times from the local desktop to the virtual desktop are super slow. Our bandwidth is dedicated 50Mbps up and down. Is there anything we can do?
