One user on our domain cannot print without the RUNDLL32 process ended..Back again
I've been having this problem with one of our users & one printer on our network, she is able to print for a little bit, but after awhile nothing will come through. Only after ending the process does the print come out, & what's weird is the computer she is on acts like the print sent without a hitch. I originally disabled the print notification as this has been a culprit in the past with various other random users, but that didn't fix it. She has since moved to a different workstation & the issue has followed her, also I recreated her profile from scratch. No one else is having issues with the printer in question. Also this has been happening to her pre & post pushing printers out via GPO.
Extra information:
This has been happening now on two different servers (2008 rs & server 2012), two different workstations, & even two different profiles.
Also the same user has had this problem with two printers, the office’s original & the replacement which replaced the original a few months back. I’ll be glad to answer any questions and get this figured out once & for all as it's an annoying issue that happens multiple times a day. -
RE: Meanwhile in Britain
How much to ship all of that to NorCal? Why didn't they just put the Daleks inside, or the truck, or why did they use the truck to begin with?

Finally get to get my hands dirty in the Closet of Servers
We had to replace one of our dell servers from 2007 & one of the switches which died, so I got tasked with re-running every cable & label all of them. In the picture you really can't see it but whoever set this up also decided 25' cables for a run of 3'-4' tops, was the best idea. Half of them are Cat 5 & the rest a mix of 5e & 6. An easy task & I know that it isn't as impressive of a server setup as you guys, but I have to start somewhere. Wish me luck, I'm super excited to tackle this.

RE: Software that can transcribe meetings or multiple people
I had a feeling about that, might have to get her Dragon & have her "parrot" using her voice, or get her to take classes on stenography. Right now they just record the meetings & she has to hand write everything down. Any other ideas outside of transcribing that may be helpful.

Software that can transcribe meetings or multiple people
I have a user that needs to be able to get full meetings of board members or management meetings. At first I said Dragon Naturally Speaking but didn't know it was for a meeting environment. Does anyone know of or is there a piece of software that can do this? I know Dragon Naturally Speaking needs to learn phonetics & voice recognition, but I am afraid all software if there is any will need that too, am I right to actually assume that? (Yes I already know not to assume anything, but I will in this specific case.)

RE: Pizza Cake: Please Let This Exist
@technobabble - That sounds awesome & now my mouth is watering for more pizza. What kind of BBQ? tangy, spicy, original, thick as molasses, homemade, etc, etc?
I'm toying with the idea of a three layer one similar to the cake above just made individually, bottom would have the BBQ sauce, middle a white garlic sauce, & the top a really thin coating of basic red marinara. Bottom would have Pepperjack & Habanero cheddar with Bacon & chicken (shredded). Middle would have the veggies. Olives, mushrooms, thin sliced red onions, & artichoke hearts, with Regular Mozzarella & Rumiano. Top would have hot linguica, mild cheddar cheese & more bacon, with more mozzarella & add shredded Parmesan. Does that sound like too much or just right? -

Sweet, it's now bookmarked, I'll end up checking this out in the near future, during downtime at work. Thanks Bill

RE: Sony Announces New High Density Tape Technology
Thanks that helped, I had an idea but much info. So no matter what the standard will always be disk to disk unless something revolutionary comes out to change that, with tapes being thrown to the side as a complete Disaster Recovery backup? I know the question is kind of reiterating what you said to me but it sometimes helps me understand. Quite interesting that they can be used similar to a RAID, but i know I'll be steering clear of them since we have no use for them here.

RE: Sony Announces New High Density Tape Technology
I see your point, I can see this being of more use to bigger enterprises like you said. I was just thinking along the lines of personal and smaller business use, didn't even think about the big boys & their big data. I get the idea of using a tape, but is the tape format a better method of storing data or thought of as just another method? I've never had to use tapes outside of those mentioned before like audio, mini/UMD, beta, VHS, so my interest is piqued.

RE: Pizza Cake: Please Let This Exist
@technobabble - have fun to me it's almost soothing to make a pizza. I normally just let my friends chill out around me while I make it and drink good ales. Just remember though the key to a great pizza is to drink good beers, microbrew or imports, no buds or any of those color changing mountains. What I also found out is to either make the sauce yourself if you have the time, get a meat marinara or a chunky marinara rather than normal pizza sauce, they give it a better flavor in my opinion.
