@olivier Don't worry as I think it's a NAS issue with Linux as I can't mount the share on any Linux system (well I've tried 2 Ubuntu machines and 3 CentOS machines), they all fail so will leave it at NFS share for now, as it's not easy mounted by non windows people.

A really nice thing about XO is you can import and not power on.

So you can remove the NIC and then power on. If it works, you know you're in good shape.

That's what most people do. You phone family and the family goes and hires a lawyer and then the lawyer calls you or stops by. Only the super rich have a lawyer ready to call and only so many people who have one have their number handy when being arrested.

You have to add a subnet for each remote network in the ERL. You could simply change the remote network to 10.0.1.0/17 or something.

Not back in till Wednesday but it's a simple one so far

Asks for a hostname on a prompt and runs hostnamectl
Then asks for ip to assign and runs a few sed commands to edit the cfg-eth0 file.

So the main idea is to run the command/script when root logs in next.

it is absolutely standard that it writes to the install location, it has to be modified as any install like this has to be. But you have to modify that behaviour.

Not at the hypervisor / platform level. You need to work with agents the same as if it was physical. Doesn't work with ESXi Free, either.

ESXi Free version has no backup API's... that's the issue.
