Dunno about your state, but every state I have dealt with, accrued means it is earned and is 100% required to be paid out.

For those in Ohio, the employer must have a written policy stating under what conditions accrued PTO will not be paid.

And there’s the ‘rub’ of course.

While I live and work in Kentucky, the company that pays me is in Ohio…. And yes- it’s in the Employee handbook. So it’s very very likely that I’ll get screwed out of it.

Even though I am only partly to blame here.

      • Because I get it done, it’s given to me
      • because I close the most tickets, it’s given to me
      • because it had to be done and there isn’t anyone else here to do it, it’s given to me
      • because Jake hole didn’t finish it, I have to.
      • because “I trust you to get it done”,…
      • because he’s a lazy f*
        …
      • because this is how’s it’s been.

I am still awaiting notice from my interview Thursday,..

Offer received and without hesitation accepted. In doing so I go from a contractor to full bore employee again. In addition to a spread of benefits I also will receive an increase in pay- and first salary job in a number of years.

so DBAN is the low end solution by Blancco. I am looking for something in the middle range for mid size enterprise.

Mid size enterprise? Then don't deal with that crap.

Decommissioned equipment is sold to recyclers that will securily erase all drives with certificates and then resell your equipment or the parts in it.

Or,.. recycle and shred you HDD or SSD with cert

I don’t care to print it,… or at least start it. I can monitor and it it fails could stop it… but it’s not exactly a wild print.

If it’s imaged at the size needed I don’t have to scale any,.. guess is just an hour or so to print.

Yesterday it was 60-70 and rainy - which we needed with the brush / forest fires..

Today - 33 and sleet, rain, flurries..

Troubleshoot the radio - I've isolated the issue I think,.. just not sure what to call it (other than a pain). Friends Birthday gathering later, and Son has a school dance tonight. Else - as little as I can get away with while getting things ready for another Monday.

      Few questions

What type of filament are you needing as there are many.

      What is this for?

Was the file on ThingaVerse, or 3dCuts or another site?

Holy crap - yea,.. that's a burnt print.

I have an Ender 3 Pro and it does a decent job of things... As long as, as with anything, you pay attention to a number of factors. Sadly I don't have photos of some of the prints I've done, and the photos I do have are ones I can't release.

Filament, speed, flow, temp and bed adhesion are may factors to deal with. I haven't been able to print ABS as it just peels right off. I do decent with PLA and TPU...

There is a lot that I don't know how to do and don't know if I want to try,.. but I've learned a bit also.

Here is a file I printed for a friend:

Get-Service -ComputerName pc1, pc2 SERVICE | Select name, MachineName, Status

Where did you get the -ComputerName syntax from?

I can't find anything like that from the manual: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powershell.management/get-service?view=powershell-7.2

OK, it's been deprecated. It's available in older versions of powershell, up to 5.1.

      https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powershell.management/get-service?view=powershell-5.1

I read somewhere it doesn't use powershell remoting but dcom instead. And that's why it became obsolete.

Maybe you haven't got the right dcom privileges to run it remotely.

Say what now? I'm reading this:

      https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/scripting/samples/managing-services?view=powershell-7.2

I'd put one script on each remote computer and have it send an email whenever the service stops. Or check whatever it is you really want to know with the service.

Sadly, we already monitor the service. I can be 'running' but fail and need to be stop/started. We've also already done the scheduled task route where it checked it ever 15 min and stop/started it. But there are still times it needs to be manually stop/started. And this is 10x better then what they were doing when I started last year....

OK, so the script is part of something you actually use to restart it when you decide to?

Yes - while I would like to solve it with PS,.. my batch script works fine. I just figured with all that I am / have been doing with PS,.. why not convert it to PS and go one.

Now - if there is another way to accomplish this - I'm open to learning. It's what I'm applying with PS - learning.
