Yes, we have two DC SAN and DR SAN both configured with storage replication,Now, Failover cluster disks placed from DC SAN to Node1 and Node2 and When DC SAN goes down state, We will plan to map replicated windows quorum disks from DR SAN , if i will add replicated windows quorum disks means, it is possible to windows cluster start without any issues, ?? or replicated windows quorum disks is possible ???

customer dont have VMware SnS support for upgrading VMware latest.

You don't need active SnS to upgrade to 5.5 which is still in support for another 300 days or so...

If you were using at least Server 2012, you can use powershell commands like
Get-SmbOpenFile to list number of files opened.

Sounds like the correct process. It's been quite a while since I did a greenfield NetBackup deployment and a lot may have changed. It was Solaris when I last did it, but I used to work for Veritas doing this in the field.

Someone doing build testing of in-memory database scaling (Functional, not actual performance) and they are using the SWAP to SSD to redirect the memory SWAP to an Intel Octane device, or NVMe drives so it doesn't completely crash 🙂

Amazon and Azure both offer many different storage methods. Can you tell us more about how the data is stored and where you will put it? Is this between VM, or is this storage like S3?

If you have a PSOD you generally want to take picture of it, and pull the crash dumps and open a ticket with Vmware GSS.

The other useful thing to do is check the syslog (LogInisght is part of vROPS).

If the only goal is an open source file server (we call this a SAM-SD, there is a section of the forum just for that) then the most likely recommendations for an OS will be openSuse Tumbleweed or Fedora. CentOS and Ubuntu are fine choices too. FreeBSD is excellent, but less well known.

You make it sound as though the wise choice here would be to install OpenSuse etc direct to the hardware.

So in a "read back" mode, this tells us that the data stored here isn't important so there isn't really anything to worry about. If you do the expansion and it causes data loss, they can't be upset as they don't see value in the data. This also tells us that the servers shouldn't be there, because if they aren't backed up and they aren't a caching system then you shouldn't have them at all.

So there is clearly something wrong.
