Aren't you guys supposed to have an "open mind" & always try new things?

RE: R730 PDR1001 Fault on Drive 3
Don't you get email alerts for drive failures?

RE: UrBackup Review plus Configuration Options
@DustinB3403 Curious how your use of XenServer will be affected by this?

And this is the second reason I refuse to run XS in production.
Not to threadjack, but http://www.quadricsoftware.com/products/alike-dr/ supports Hyper-V and XS

XenServer install on SuperMicro: software RAID question
OS: XenServer 7.0
HW: SuperMicro SuperServer 1028R-WTRT
Drive type: All SSD's*** No USB install of XS
Since this chassis has 10 drives & FakeRAID is not recommended, I'm interested in hearing options on how to handle the array for the XS SR.
There are 2 SuperDOM ports, install XS here??
Software RAID or LSI 92xx card for the array ??Look forward to hearing different options.

I'm unsure of the question.
The goal is to have "another set of eyes" look at it & they may have different solutions.

XenServer 7.0: monitor hard drive failure
For those that are NOT on Dell (non - iDRAC) hardware & using a HW RAID controller, how are you monitoring hard drive failures?

How many people will be seated (or should that be "sitting") in each room?
6 - 8
For smooth & even audio coverage, use 4 (if budget allows) in ceiling speakers.
No soundbar. -

RE: Choosing a colo
@Kris_K I just recently made that choice in LA
I went with https://www.inforelay.com/
The DC is located at http://www.coresite.com/data-centers/locations/los-angeles/la2
LA2 is slightly more expensive than the DCs in downtown LA (LA2 is not in the heart of DTLA)
At LA2, there is free gated parking, there is also a separate gated loading dock with carts & service elevator right next to the dock.
Less hassle & headache to get in & out -
RE: Choosing a colo
@Kris_K From the fwy offramp to the LA2 site, is less than a mile drive.
